The french way is visually different

Well… This cannot be used in French. Long division in French has a different aspect. First of all the dividend is on the left, the divisor is on the right, in a square (not curly) bracket (like a "L"), and the quotient is below the divisor. The french text you wrote seems correct to me, but I think this would change all your code (at least the sensible zones…)
NOTE: Ce logiciel nutilise pas la forme française habituelle.
